The short version
Fighting Fish keeps your catches, trophies and progress on your device. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared. This policy covers the game on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
What stays on your device
Your cooler, trophy case, journal, clams, gear, hats, Daily Catch results and settings are saved on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
iCloud
If you're signed in to iCloud, your progress syncs between your own iPhone, iPad and Mac through your iCloud account, so you can pick up on any of them. Device settings such as sound and the screen filter stay on each device. That's Apple's service; I can't see any of it.
No analytics
The game sends nothing about how you play to me or to anyone else. There are no analytics or advertising services in it.
More by Ian Corbin
When you open More by Ian Corbin in the game, it downloads the current list of my other games and apps from iancorbin.com. Nothing about you is sent with that request; the site's host keeps standard request logs (which include IP addresses) for a short time to run the service.
Game Center
If you're signed in to Game Center, the game reports the awards you earn as achievements, and scores such as your biggest catch of each fish, your Tournament time and your Daily Catch score to its leaderboards, where other players see your Game Center name and score. If you allow it, the game can also show how your Game Center friends did. Game Center is Apple's service, covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Sharing
When you share a catch or a result, the game makes a picture on your device and hands it to the share sheet. It goes only where you send it; nothing is sent to me.
Purchases
If you buy Fighting Fish or anything in it, Apple handles the payment entirely. I never see your payment details or your Apple Account.
Apple's analytics
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give me aggregated, anonymous statistics such as downloads, sessions and crashes. You can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements › Share With App Developers.
Children
The game collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
If the game ever starts collecting anything, this policy will be updated before that happens, and the change will be noted here.
